My first Monster!
So this is where tea cosy making starts to get weird. This was an experiment looking at the possibilities of creating a tea cosy softie, and he's a funny little fella. He was recently in the daily fashion parade at the Brisbane Stitches and Craft Show for the Thread Den stall - apparently nobody had ever heard of a monster tea cosy before, so they decided to show him off.
I still haven't decided on the perfect name for him yet, any suggestions? - Liv

Heya pretty ladies!
ReplyDeleteWell well...good to see the knitting/crochet/sewing addictions are producing such beautiful creations. I can see why tea drinkers the world over should be very afraid of thier credit cards!
Keep up the good work ladies, Liv I have alreay placed an order/inpsiration idea....Jan, I'm thinking butterflies in light and dark greens, foliage stencilled onto the background, line drawings in green fabric pen and lots of applique! Will pay up to $500 for one off custom handbag!!
Best of luck for future blog adventures, speak soon

Thanks Liz, glad you like the pics - there will be many more coming soon!
ReplyDeleteI've started thinking of ideas for your ocean inspired mega-cosy, so that may not be too far away. Expect process pics as I go along, this may be an epic cosy, the likes of which the world has never seen!!
